*Camden Joseph... October 5, 2005

(I'm going to add a bit of history since I didn't start this until Camden turned 3 months old...)

Camden Joseph was born on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. He weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long. He was a c-section baby, so he came out looking just perfect! He cried loudly in protest at us disturbing his peaceful, warm world in which he was still perfectly content. (That's OK...me & Daddy cried too!!)

But he calmed down quickly when he was dried off and warmed up. Daddy got to see him weighed and measured for the first time, and then was able to hold him right away.
When we got to the recovery room, Joe went and got Mandi & Shelbi out of the waiting area... they were nervously, anxiously waiting for the news of their baby brother! They came in together and got to look at him and touch him in the bassinet.

Then Gran (my Mom), Grandma (Joe's Mom), Aunt Pam (my sister), Alli (my sister's oldest daughter), and Kelli (my sister's youngest daughter) ALL came in to see Camden. The baby nurse gave him his first bath, and everyone got to watch. Then when he was finally cleaned up and swaddled warmly, I finally got to hold the little guy. It was instant love... just like with his big sisters.

That first day was filled with so much excitement. We had many friends and family visit, call and send flowers and gifts for Camden.

The whole family felt very loved! We took a bunch of digital pics that very first day (and so did Aunt Pam), and printed several for Mandi, Shelbi, Alli & Kelli to take to school the following day. :) All 3 of the big girls took pictures with their camera phones and added "Camden" to their wallpaper on their phones to show all their friends and teachers!!

It was a wonderfully memorable day... the day our family of 5 was complete!
